Natural Resource Management Program

As a consequence of high concentration of fluorine in water, the people of the area are facing the problem of joint pain, dental decay, gastro intestinal problems and other side effects in the body. The organization has been working in the Districts of Dausa and block Hurda in the Bhilwara District under the project of Rajasthan Integrated Flourious Mitigation Program.
The organization completed the survey of water resources in the villages of Dausa and Bhilwara Districts. The water sample collected form the various water sources were sent to the department for testing the quantity of fluorine content in the water. After that organization organized IEC activities in the targeted villages. Village camps were organized for information dissemination. Distribution of DDFU kits was done in the villages and orientation of PRIs and village level workers was done. The regeneration centre for AA was established. The main emphasis was on awareness activities and IEC activities that people are aware of the problem and safe guard them from high concentration of fluorine affected water.

Awareness Camps:

Awareness Camps were organized to make people aware about different government schemes and policies. These camps were used as a platform to collect community people at one platform and inform them about various schemes and their rights as well. Total 14 village level camps were organized in Sanganer block of Jaipur district.

Community Meetings:

Community meetings (Chaupal) were organized in 22 villages to spread the message of community participation in their own village’s development and to motivate them to take right decision for their own development.

Fluoride Awareness Camps:

VANI has organized Fluoride Awareness Camps in Fluoride affected areas as high fluoride concentration is the biggest health problem in high fluoride zones. VANI has organized fluoride awareness camp in 50 villages of Dausa Panchayat Samiti to make people aware about the harmful effects of fluoride on human health and the ways by which fluoride level can be reduced to a certain level.
